Exciting News! Guestdesigner for Family and Friends

English version please see below :)

I have some very exciting news to share with you! I am a guest designer for the German blog "Family and Friends". It's a challenge blog for all the crafters out there with nice prices to win. They have monthly challenges with different exercises, and I'll join them for four months, from January till April.
I am very happy about that, since it's my first chance to share my projects on a challenge blog with all the crafting people out there. Maybe I'll win some new followers this way, too. That would be awesome ;)

Anyway this months challenge is about "let it snow". Any project is welcome, as long as it matches the theme. I created a huge card for a friend of mine, with "snowflakes" behind some vellum. You can shake it and have some fun with it ;)

Außerdem habe ich einen wunderbar passenden Stempel auf etwas Transparentpapier hinzugefügt, und zwei kleine Schneeflocken links und rechts mit Prägepuder aufgebracht.

I added a banner with a perfect matching stamp on some more vellum and used copper embossing powder to create two little snowflakes.

I used some multicolored yarn to stitch the vellum on the paper to give it more texture and to create an eye-catcher. And that's it! Thanks for reading and have a great day!

✮ Warm Winter Wishes ✮

Hey Crafters, tonight it's time for my latest work! I created this scraplifted card for my best friend for christmas . I found my inspiration one more time on Pinterest. I stamped the background with vintage photo distress ink to make it look more vintage :)

The two bigger snowflakes are made of felt with a cutting die from Tim Holtz. The smaller snowflakes are embellishment which I found in a local Home Decorating store. The paper the candy cane is glued on was once white; I heat embossed it with clear embossing powder and used distress ink afterwards.

Besides, I put this card in the SEM Decemeber challenge :)

Time for even more Christmas Cards... :)

Ho ho ho together... It's time to showcase my new Christmas Cards... :) And to add them for the Christmas Challenge from Scrapping Everyday Miracles!
Both cards are for my coworkers, the one wanted a winter landscape, the other asked me to use something soft and plushy.

And this is what I came up with:

I wrote the sentiment by hand, since I don't have any polish stamps ;) I did the icicles with some glossy accents and sprinkled some distress glitter over it while it was wet. Really like how that turned out! The cutting dies are from Marianne Design (except for the Christmas trees).

On that card I used white felt for the snowflake, to make it look even softer :)

These circles are my new christmas stamps from Joy! Crafts. Really LOOVE them! :)

Thanks for stopping by and feel free to comment if you like ;)

Vintage Christmas Cards

And another one! :) You just can't have enough Christmas Cards ^^ These two cards are for my coworker, too. Hope he's going to like them! :) Both cards are inspired by some cards I found on Pinterest (you can find them on my wall "Christmas Cards") I added the first card also in the Christmas theme Challenge from Scrapping Everyday Miracles.

With a French sentiment, an embossed background and with crackle paint covered snowflakes. The patterned paper is from the Heirloom Collection from DCVW.

On the second card I used the same background paper as for the first one. The Winter landscape is also an image I found on Pinterest, using the words "Vintage Winter Landscape". Just printed it out with my printer at home. The two flowers are made by using the tattered flowers die from Tim Holtz, the Mistletoe is from Prima.

I haven't a cutting die in the shape of a window,  so I cut that out by hand - very annoying... But I like the result and it was worth it. The window frame is painted with crackle paint, too.

The sentiment is German and means Merry Christmas. It's heat-embossed with an copper embossing powder.

Have a nice evening :)

Gettin' prepared for Christmas... :)

Some more Christmas Cards! Really like how the first one turned out. Very monochromatic :) Hope you like them, too!

Cardabilities #87

Happy Monday Crafters :)

Today we had the first snow! Winter's coming and I'm getting prepared for Christmas. I created this vintage looking card tonight for the Cardabilities #87. My first card for a challenge by the way :) Besides I was on a Creativity fair this weekend and bought a lot of stuff on sale. I guess you can call it a big haul ;)

The best thing about this card is, that I could use a lot of my scraps. Only for the base I needed a new piece of cardstock. For the background I used creme paper with tiny grey dots and painted it in the middle with gesso. After that I applied some pearl molding paste to create the snowflakes. In this case I created my own stencil by using a thick piece of cardstock and my Tim Holtz Movers & Shapers.
I looked for some Christmas stamps in my stash and just found out that I haven't any with Christmas sentiments ^^ But since I absolutely wanted to use one, I just wrote it by hand :) This took me a bit of time, but I really like the result.

And that's their awesome sketch for the card:

Thanks for stopping by and have great week :)
