Scrap & Music #30 - Suspicious Minds

Hi everyone!
It's been a while since I've posted a new blog post - I've been busy with work and I was in the US for more than a month. I crafted almost every week, but I just hadn't the time to take good pictures and to upload them. Anyway, here I am back with a layout for the Scrap&Music blog :)

I love the color-combo of grey and aqua-tones (I saw a great layout on Pinterest and was inspired by that). I used two pictures from a holiday in Switzerland because the colors are quite matching, and the title fit, too.

I used a few of my new chalk sprays by 13arts for my background. I used a mask with tiny stars and some moulding paste to create a little bit of texture. Here and there I used Stickles in matching colors.

Thanks for stopping by!
Hopefully I'm going to find a little bit more time in the coming weeks for a few more posts :)

This was the sketch I used for my layout:

Sketchabilities #112 DT reveal

Hi everyone!

It's time for the Sketchabilities #112 DT-reveal
I came up with a Bambi-LO :)

For the background I used a paper by DCWV (lace stack).

My title is made out of grunge-board and painted it with metallic distress paint. I used two different colors of liquid pearls to create some flourishes around the title and around my canvas flowers.

The flowers are from Prima and made of resist canvas. I sprayed them with different Glimmer Mists to color them and added a huge metallic brad in the center of each. Underneath, I applied a tiny bit of glitter Washi tape.

To highlight the tags, I used a little bit of Inka Gold and rubbed it on with my fingers. You can see a bit of the background stamping in that picture, too.

Another close-up of my background work.

Thank you for stopping by and it would be great, if you'll join is this month by creating a layout with this beautiful sketch!

Sketchabilities #111 DT-Reveal

Hey Scrappers!
It's just time for another beautiful sketch by Sketchabilities :)
Here's my take on the sketch #111:

I took some photos of one of our last Florida holiday, where we were in a Lion's  Safari Park. You could feed some of the birds there by hand :)
This time I created a rather dark and cool layout with a lot of masking and stamping on the background.
At the first step I used glossy medium to create a subtle brick wall with one of my Prima masks. To emphasize it, it stamped with a brick wall stamp, too. I stamped the honeycombs and used another honeycomb mask with black gesso for more structure.

After that, I used a lot different sprays and inks for more shine.

In order to catch the eye I added a few colorful and some metallic embellishments. You can see the overlapped masks on the background of that picture.

Then I glued down some pieces of masure tape, masking tape and the title.

And a geotag on top!

This is the sketch for the latest challenge:

I hope to see some of you working on that sketch, too! :)
Thank you all who participated the last time and have fun creating a new layout for us.

Thanks for stopping by!

Family and Friends März Challenge: Farbenfroh und geprägt in den Frühling

Hi everyone! Another month - another time to share my project for another Family and Friends challenge! This time it's all about embossing! The march challenge is called:
jump colorful and embossed into spring :)

I decided to craft a cute spring card. The background is embossed with two different embossing-folders and I stamped and punched out the butterflies with my Martha Steward puncher.

My flower is made out of fabric-circels.
Thank you for stopping by! :)

Brownie, my Sweetie Pie :)

Hi everyone, I'm back with another layout! This time I scrapped my cat :) His name is Brownie and as you can see, he's my sweetie pie :) I worked with sketch #22 by ScrapFriends and I used the mood-board by Scrap around the world for this layout, too. You can find their wonderful mood-board and the sketch I used at the end of this post.

I used a lot of different sprays and inks to create my clustered background. I was inspired by the colors of the mood-board and I tried to catch the orange, pink and gold of it. Besides, it inspired me to use the title "you are my sweetie pie".

I played with different sizes and mediums to create checker-boards (stamps, masks, brads).

My sweet title...

... and a little bit of my background stamping... :)

I used gel medium on my orange hearts and covered them with Inka Gold after that. The gel medium resists the Inka Gold and reveals the orange paper.

And here are the beautiful mood-board and the sketch I used for this layout:
